Some Things to Consider First

1. All committees or teams should operate within a set of ground rules.  The rules should be established at the first meeting through consensus of all participants. [picture of chart of rules on a flipchart]

  • Be on time.
  • Be prepared with your information/assignment.
  • Participate.
  • Respect each other’s opinions.
  • Share ideas.
  • Ideas are valued and should be discussed, not attacked.
  • One speaker at a time.
